Sydney Roosters forward Jake Trbojevic has been named captain of a new-look NSW Blues team for the opening game of the 2024 State of Origin series.
Trbojevic, who has played 16 games for the Blues, will lead a team that includes six rookies.
The other debutants are Penrith Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards, Cronulla Sharks winger Ronaldo Mulitalo, South Sydney Rabbitohs prop Thomas Burgess, Parramatta Eels lock Nathan Brown and Newcastle Knights hooker Jayden Brailey.
The Blues will be without a number of key players for the series opener, including injured captain Boyd Cordner and suspended forward David Klemmer.
NSW will be looking to win their first Origin series since 2019.
